WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2nd » Part II of Hudson Grievance Day continues today from 2-4 pm—but only for those who submitted the required forms back on May 25th but were not yet heard by the Board of Assessment review. According to Ellen Thurston, the venue has been moved to the Crosswinds conference building on Harry Howard Boulevard, roughly across from the Fireman’s Home ballfields. (Bring your popcorn and Valium.)
SATURDAY, JUNE 5th » Columbia County resident Roberta Brandes Gratz, co-author with Norman Mintz in the late ’90s of Cities Back from the Edge (which took note of the early stages of Hudson’s revival) will speak at the Opera House about her new book at 4 pm. Her latest is The Battle for Gotham: New York in the Shadow of Robert Moses and Jane Jacobs; she’ll be introduced by Joan Davidson of Germantown.
ALSO ON JUNE 5th » Dan (Bunny) Seward plays an acoustic Bunnybrains gig at 7:30 pm at Spotty Dog Books & Ale along with Brian Dewan and Moon Pie. The Facebook event link is here. Also note that John Doe/Jean Deux has relocated down by the train station, next to Strongtree.
SATURDAY, JUNE 20th » Kevin Moran of PM Wine Bar is helping to organize the Hudson Pride Sunset Cruise (that's another Facebook link) on the Spirit of Hudson on June 19th from 7-9:30 pm, departing from the City’s waterfront park... The main site for Hudson Pride (whose parade and rally are on the following day at noon—thanks to Martha Harvey for the correction and additional info below in the comments) is here.
