Claverack’s own Sedat Pakay will show his film about photographer Walker Evans this coming Sunday (February 21) at 3 p.m. at the Claverack Library, located at the intersection of Route 23B and 9H/23.
Evans, among many other things, took photos in the 1930s of Claverack, Hudson, Millerton, Copake and other area towns. Above are two well-known Claverack houses along Route 23B; his shots of Hudson (examples below) are more evocative of the era.
