Some sort of shooting took place today in the municipal parking lot in the 500 block of Columbia Street in Hudson, just behind City Hall.
Rumors abound about what exactly happened this afternoon between 3 and 4 pm—from someone shooting themselves in the foot with a gun in their pocket à la Plaxico Burress to a drug deal gone bad, with a victim being treated at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Parking areas behind City Hall were taped off, a helicopter was circling, and people on the street were being stopped and asked questions by police late Tuesday afternoon.
UPDATE: Albany television stations (WRBG-6 and WTEN-10) are reporting that two men had a fight, and that the unidentified 26-year-old taken to CMH with a gunshot wound in his leg does not have “life-threatening” injuries. The other person or persons involved remain at large, with the Hudson Police Department seeking phone tips about the incident via either (518) 828-3388 or (518) 828-9900.
