Early 80s Hudson business closings

Casualties of a slow economy, retirements, and the big box stores on Fairview Avenue, from archives found at Columbia-Greene Community College. Today, the Columbia County leaders are contemplating giving tax breaks to Kohl's, the same type of non-local, big box store that made it hard for these Hudson businesses to survive.
