Though the Town of Ghent has not announced it, according to two sources TCI of New York has arranged to be on the Planning Board’s agenda tonight. The Board meets at 7 pm at Town Hallon Route 66. If so, this would be the first time that the company has attended a public meeting since its catastrophic fire on August 1st and 2nd.
Meanwhile, after three months the New York State DEC has still not responded to a Freedom of Information Law request regarding TCI's permits, filed in early August. Previously, DEC stated that the information would be available on October 16th, already a significant delay.
Since that deadline passed, FOIL officer Ruth Earl has not responded to email or phone messages regarding its status.
